The MU Web Task Force, a sub-committee
of the MU
Information Technology Committee, completed work on a
set of proposed standards, guidelines and recommendations
intended to provide some needed improvements to the official
Web structure at MU. One of the recommendations of the MU
Web Task Force was that a formal group be established to
provide an opportunity for open communication between central
campus, school, college and division Web professionals. In response to that recommendation,
Web Communications has established a group
to meet that need.
The MU Web Developers Group
will have meetings once per month with an agenda set in advance.
These gatherings, established in the spirit of the campus LANMAN
group and PR Council, will provide an opportunity
for members to disseminate information, share ideas and
gather input from across the campus Web community. In
addition, special guests will be brought in to speak about
topics related to our work. There is
much to be done on our campus and open communication will allow
all of us to work more efficiently and effectively together.
