Your Web Site » The MU Homepage
While many people may believe the magic answer to getting visitors to their site is a permanent link from the MU homepage, we would argue that this is not how most Web savvy people really use the site. In a Web environment as large as the one that exists at MU, the homepage truly serves as a top-level menu, responsible for sorting our visitors and most-needed topics into an easy to read and usable form of navigation. The goal is to quickly and efficiently send them deeper into our site in their quest for relevant content. In most cases, individual departmental Web sites simply don't meet those requirements.
The new MU Web site design calls for an audience focused approach. This will require you to think not only about what you want to promote, but to whom you want to promote it.
Those interested in contributing information for possible promotion from the MU Web site or any of the new audience gateways should submit an e-mail request to the Web Editor.
All sites chosen for promotion from the MU Web site must meet the standards set forth in the MU Web Policies and Guidelines. Sites that do not meet these standards will not be eligible.
